My name is Kevin Keesler, and I am the owner of Computer Football Data Disks. I have been a big fan of the APBA Computer Football game since the late 1990's. In those days, the APBA Company released a new data disk every year, for a cost of $25.00 each. However, in the late 1990's, the APBA company abandoned their computer football game, and stopped making data disks. Fortunately, there is a gentleman named Lee Young, who was the brains behind the computer football game, and actually was the one who was making the data disks for the APBA Company. After the APBA company shut down their computer football game, Lee Young continued to make computer football data disks for the next few years, until 2002. However, in 2002, Lee Young also abandoned the computer football game, and stopped making data disks. So, from 2002 until 2013, no one was making data disks for the computer football game. Back in November of 2013, I decided that I was going to learn how to make data disks, and start making them available to the public again. Fortunately, I have a friend in the APBA community who knows how to make computer football data disks, and he graciously guided me through the process of how to make an APBA Computer Football Data Disk. The first disk I created was 1961 AFL, and it was a very difficult learning curve. It took me over 2 months to create that disk, but I finally completed the disk in January of 2014. Once I completed that first disk, I really understood the process, and after that it went much smoother. Since then, I have been busy making data disks, and it is an ongoing process. However, it is still a very time consuming process to make a data disk. To give you an idea of how much time it takes to make a season disk, it takes about 3 hours per team. So, you can do the math. Anyway, my goal is to fill in all the missing years from 1909 to present day. My wife said that I should charge $20.00 for each disk, and she is probably right. But, I remember the days when I was buying the disks from APBA and Lee Young for $20-$25 each, and I didn't mind paying it, but I thought it could have been less expensive. So, that is why I am only charging $10.00 per disk, or $8.00 per disk when you buy five. I wanted to make them affordable for everyone.
